You would have thought that by going to an airline company and booking your flight ticket directly from them, would give you a better deal on your plane ticket prices than going through a travel agent who sells you a flight ticket from the same airline company but with a commission on the price.

Let me tell you right now that this is not always the case. Generally speaking, going through the actual airline and requesting a ticket will end up being more expensive. Airline agents are highly experienced at squeezing as much money as possible out of the customer. Their goal is to persuade you to pay as much for your plane ticket as possible. If your only two choices are to get a ticket directly from the airline company, or to get a ticket from a travel agent then take my advice and get it from the travel agent. A travel agent works in a highly competitive area and is always willing to give you the best deal possible to win your custom.

A good bit of advice is what time of the week is best to book your flight tickets?

The best time is around 6 PM on Tuesdays. Why? Because Tuesday evening is the time when airlines update their systems with new deals on plane ticket prices. Not only will this allow you to view any new flight deals before anyone else gets the chance to see them, but this method will also, on most occasions, get you a great discount on your flight ticket.
